UniverCity residents may remember the UNES Nature Walk last year, hosted by Krystal Brennan, Education Coordinator at Burnaby Wildlife Rescue. We toured trails on the East side of the mountain including Mel’s Trail and Gear Jammer trail, with the use of games and props for educational guidance.

Right now we have the opportunity for a walk hosted by Krystal again. The UniverCity Community Trust has kindly agreed to sponsor this event, and cover the fee for the BWR coordinator.

Krystal is excited about the opportunity.

This event is made possible by the kind sponsorship of SFU Community Trust. Thank you!

We should plan something as the weather is still good. It should be cooler in the upcoming week so Monday, August 23, 2010 (daytime or early evening?). Please respond with preferred times. We would need to confirm with availability from Krystal.

6PM Monday, August 23, 2010 (approx. 2 hours)
TIME CONFIRMED! Meet at University Crescent and University High Street (South/East end of University Crescent by One University Crescent building)
Bring along a GPS and we could take the opportunity to chart significant features on the On-Line GIS maps submitted by Pablo Vimos in our UNES group. Together we can plot major geography, flora, and fauna.

Let’s keep in mind a regular Nature Walk event.
This won’t always have to be geared to children.

Room still available! Please call me to book space: 604-837-1474
