On Saturday night, looking past the ring road, sitting in state halfway up a tall conifer, we noticed two adult Bald Eagles gazing over the surrounding view. In their fully formed magnificence they sat for about two hours, sometimes intently searching, sometimes grooming, and sometimes in silent communication with each other. While we enjoyed our barbecue, the big birds kept us company, even though far away they were near enough to enjoy. I have often seen eagles flying overhead in the distance, but never resting so close to the housing. I wonder whether others saw them?
